On Your Worst Day
January 19, 2020
Happy New Year! We’re a few weeks in and I feel it’s very important to remind you that:
On your worst day…
When you realize you’ve already blown your New Year’s resolutions
When you’ve eaten three candy bars because you’re stressedWhen the bathroom scale is not your friend
When you feel like you could just as easily be a hamburger as a Christian because you seem to have no power over your addictive behavior
On those kind of days…
Your true identity has not changed.
When God seems so far away, and you question whether your relationship is secure
When you’re so down you just want to sit in front of the TV with a bag of Doritos and binge on your favorite shows
When you’ve tried every diet known to man and you just feel like a complete failure
On those kind of days…
How God sees you is just as secure as it is on your best day.
I know what it is to feel completely out of control with your emotions and unable to say no to binge eating. But once I really understood my true identity never changes even on my worst day, my health started to transform from the inside out.
I realized that…
I have the power, the strength, and the courage to say no to emotional eating
I have the right to pursue excellence in my health, even if it makes other people uncomfortable
I owe it to my good, good, Father to align with my true identity; that person He sees me as being even when I have a bad day.
I owe it to myself to bring my dreams to life, including my dream of radiant health.
The key for those in Christ who are fighting excess weight is this – you understand so deeply in your spirit that you’re “a new creation” and you know God always sees you in your true identity no matter what choices you make. This is the foundation on which to build your healthy lifestyle. This is what will bring lasting change; step by step learning how to align with who God says you are - moment by moment and day by day. This is the key to mastering your health, and this is the key that will give you the results you’re looking for.
I dare you to let go of dieting and try it! This year could be YOUR year for a powerful breakthrough in your health!
Much Love,
